DrupalCon Amsterdam: The aftermath & sessions by track
So DrupalCon Amsterdam is finally over. The whole week was really action-packed, from start to finish.
Some big news were dropped during the event. Drupal 8.0.0 beta 1 was released during the main event. This is the first beta release for Drupal 8 and I encourage everyone to give it a spin. A lot of great changes have been implemented in this release. You should try out to f.ex. create a custom block, quick edit some content, make multilingual content, edit some views (all of this is included in the core, mind you!).
A ton of great sessions were held at the event. Almost all of them were recorded and added to the Drupal Association's Youtube channel. The sessions are listed in chronological order, but if you want to see them divided by their track, I have compiled a list for that.
Some of my personal favorites:
- Turbocharging Drupal syndication with Node.JS
- 12 Best Practices from Wunderkraut
- Drupal 8: The Crash Course
- How to Sell Agile
- Keynote: Dries Buytaert
- Twig and the new Drupal 8 Theme System
- Building Modern Web Applications with Ember.js and Headless Drupal
- New Wave PHP
- Future-Proof your Drupal 7 site
- Drupal 8 multilingual hands-on
Sprints were also playing a big role in the event, with them happening the weekend before the main event and main week's Friday being dedicated completely for community sprinting.
A big thank you to everyone for a really awesome DrupalCon and see you in Barcelona 2015!

Thank you for this handy article! But what does "f.ex." mean? That's confusing.
